Conversations and monologues exploring how work can be part of our self-care. An exploration of how we can improve our quality of life by remembering that we work to create a living. Work gives us a sense of purpose and fulfilment, but the way we work means we are left with the dregs of ourselves. We have very little energy left to create a purposeful and fulfilling life. This creates a dynamic where we rely on work and toxic levels of productivity for our sense of worth and purpose. Nobody leaves this life wishing they had worked more! We’ve got to live whilst we are alive and I think changing the way we work is an integral part of this. I don’t have the answers, this podcast is likely to leave you with more questions than you had before and think that’s a good thing. It gives us the chance to consider how we can create something new.

Welcome to episode 80. I am joined by Anti Racism Educator, inspirational speaker and writer, Nova Reid for a powerful conversation on calling in allies and holding space for transformative anti-racism work.
In this conversation, Nova and I discuss the importance of not just not being racist, but being anti-racist. Nova explains why calling in creates space for transformation whereas as opposed to calling out.
